Terms of Service

Booking an Appointment

  • Bookings must be made directly through myself via phone, Whatsapp message or email.

  • If you are a new client, please kindly fill out the client registration form. Once this is completed, I will contact you to book an initial treatment.

Veterinary Consent & Referral

  • Veterinary physiotherapists are required to treat under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966, and therefore all treatments other than maintenance treatments require veterinary consent. If your horse has not been referred to me by your veterinary surgeon, I will need to contact your veterinary practice to gain consent prior to any treatment taking place. By completing and submitting the new client registration form, you agree to me contacting your vet to discuss this.

  • If your horse presents as lame or showing signs of pain/discomfort, it is a legal requirement for the veterinary physiotherapist to refer the animal back to the treating veterinary surgeon, for appropriate investigations and/or treatment.

  • The right is reserved to refuse to treat the horse if veterinary treatment is deemed necessary prior to physiotherapy treatment, or if the horse is showing potentially dangerous behaviour.

Payment Methods

  • Payment is preferred by card at the time of the appointment, or online prior to the appointment. I have a mobile card reader that accepts all major debit/credit cards, contactless and ApplePay. Secure online payments can also be taken through my website, please click here to be taken to the online payment page.

  • For all initial appointments, payment in full will be required either in advance, through online payment, or by card on the day of appointment.

  • For clients who prefer to pay by BACS, and for block-booking packages, invoices will be issued after the appointment. It is appreciated if invoices are settled within 7 days of the issue date. Late payment fees will apply, at a rate of £1 per additional day if the invoice is not settled within 7 days.

  • Unfortunately I no longer accept cash or cheques as a method of payment.

Cancellation Policy

  • If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible. I understand that in some circumstances, this is unavoidable. Cancellations made with at least 48 hours notice will not be charged.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the appointment will incur 50% of the appointment fee.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the appointment will incur the full appointment fee.

Monthly Subscription Packages

  • For all subscription packages, the initial treatment will be charged at full price. Following this, the package price will be charged from the first day of the next month by direct debit (powered by GoCardless).

  • Monthly subscription packages can be cancelled at any time with one month’s notice.

  • All other terms & policies, including travel charges, late payment fees and the cancellation policy still apply to each treatment booked as part of a subscription package.

Emergency/Urgent Appointments

  • In the event of emergency, please ensure you contact your veterinary practice in the first instance. I am unable to provide emergency veterinary care and/or advice.

  • Should you require an urgent appointment, I will do my best to book this in within the week. Should this not be possible, I can refer you to another practitioner who may be able to help.
