“Ellie has a wonderful relationship with every horse.”
Ellie Robinson
Veterinary Physiotherapist BSc (Hons) VetPhys, MIRVAP (VP), APHR Registered, INDIBA Certified Practitioner
Hello! I’m Ellie, a Veterinary Physiotherapist based in Surrey. I have been a huge animal lover all my life, and have always dreamt of basing my career around helping animals and their owners. Turning this into reality really is a dream come true!
In 2023 I graduated from the Royal Agricultural University with a First Class Honours degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy. During these three years I juggled assignments, exams, placements, furthering my knowledge and skillset within the industry, working part-time and looking after and competing my own horses. It definitely kept me busy, but I would not have changed it for the world!
Having worked on various yards from a young age, from riding schools to professional competition yards, I developed a passion for helping horses perform at their best, at whatever level this may be. As a horse owner & rider myself, I understand the time and effort required to achieve this, which is why I encourage all my clients to maintain regular communication with myself in-between treatments. I also completely understand the heartbreak that is horses, and so have a strong emphasis not only on injury rehabilitation but also injury prevention.
As well as being a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist, I am also a Certified INDIBA Radiofrequency Practitioner. Having seen first hand the effects of INDIBA for performance, maintenance and rehabilitation, this is now an integral part of my practice and I really do believe in the strong therapeutic benefits of this modality.
I feel so incredibly lucky that every day I get to do a job that I absolutely love. If you’d like to find out more about the story behind Ellie Robinson Vet Physio, read my blog post here.

Enigma VI
Enigma, fondly known as Dexter, is my 20 year old warmblood gelding whom I purchased myself at the age of 16. Dexter took me from never having been in a competition arena, to affiliating with British Dressage and competing up to Novice level. As is often the way with horses, it has not been completely plain sailing, he certainly likes to keep me on my toes! Being a ex-eventer, he has a few previous injuries and ongoing conditions which require careful monitoring and management to keep him feeling his best. He really has taught me how to ride, care for, and manage horses and I owe an awful lot to him for inspiring my career in the Veterinary Physiotherapy industry.
Although he is now enjoying a slightly quieter life, he will always hold an incredibly special place in my heart (and he definitely still keeps me on my toes!).
Boston Lucky Rose
In 2022, I was lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to ride Rosie, a seven year old Connemara mare. Rosie is a incredibly special pony with an absolute heart of gold, and I fell in love with her very quickly. We started competing together in March 2022, and in our first year as a partnership we competed at the Area Festival Finals and our first Regional and National Championships!
